Cities

Street lighting is an essential public service typically provided by public authorities at the subnational and municipal level. Cities are increasingly investing in energy-efficient street lighting systems to replace or enhance their outdated systems.

While reliable and bright public lighting reduces accidents and crime and allows for economic activity after sunset, modern energy efficient street-lighting technology can also lower energy consumption as well as operation and maintenance costs significantly. Many different models have been developed world wide to deliver energy-efficient street lighting projects, including energy performance contracts and public-private partnerships. We can participate in designing sample contracts, bidding documents, policies, laws and regulations, and other tools related to street lighting projects.

We collaborate with government agencies, cities, and technology partners to develop integrated platforms and data management tools (GIS) to establish a city data marketplace. These platforms enable advanced analytics to support smart city functions like green infrastructure planning, smart traffic management, and smart energy usage, by integrating data from multiple sources including demographics, crime statistics, any sensor-based source – energy consumption meters, air quality sensors, and traffic sensors.

Buildings

At the most fundamental level, smart buildings deliver useful building services that make occupants productive (e.g. illumination, thermal comfort, air quality, physical security, sanitation, and many more) at the lowest cost and environmental impact over the building lifecycle.

Transportation

Smart transportation is fundamental to creating smart cities. These technologies aim to provide innovative services relating to different modes of transport and traffic management and enable users to be better informed and make safer and ‘smarter’ use of transport networks. We can design models for how authorities can manage public transportation more effectively.
